Final Auction at the State Majolika Manufactory Karlsruhe

An Era Ends: The State Majolika Manufactory Karlsruhe Closes After 123 Years – Exclusive Special Auction in March 2025

Majolika Auction Catalog (still under preparation)

After more than a century of outstanding art and craftsmanship, it is now a sad certainty: The State Majolika Manufactory Karlsruhe, founded in 1901, will permanently cease operations on December 31, 2024.

This renowned institution has not only shaped the German art scene with its unique ceramic artworks but has also gained international recognition. To give collectors and enthusiasts one last opportunity to acquire rare pieces from the manufactory’s collection, the auction house HISTORIA, in collaboration with the manufactory management and curator Ms. Kistner-Bayne, is hosting a three-day special auction.

Auction Date:

📅 Thu. March 20 – Sat. March 22, 2025, auction starts 1.00 PM on Thu., and 10.00 AM on Fri and Sat. All times are CET.

📍 The auction will take place live in the former production halls of the manufactory and will be simultaneously broadcast on all major international auction platforms. Interested bidders can register online starting in early March 2025 and participate in real time.
📍 Location: Former manufactory premises, Ahaweg 6-8, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany

📅 Sat. March 15 – Tue. March 17, 2025; ON from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
