Carl Vinnen (1863-1922), studied in Düsseldorf and Karlsruhe, member of the Worpswede painters‘ colony, view of Schönebeck Castle in the north of Bremen, signed lower right C. Vinnen as well as inscribed u. dated Schönebeck Oct 27 1915 (incised in damp paint), verso another discarded painting of a landscape with grazing animals (stained), oil on cardboard, 35 x 49.5 cm, inscribed on stretcher, painting support slightly curved, a small hole at the upper edge, minimally rubbed, framed 47.5 x 62 cm
