Choice, openwork flag with daisy decoration on the rim border, in the mirror Limoges enamel painting on cobalt blue background, ornamental gilding, depiction of a seated angel with laurel branch in hand and upturned torch in the other as a symbol of mourning, Ø 22,5 cm, Inspired by the innovative painting techniques on porcelains from Sèvres and Worcester, Ernst August Leuteritz gave the impetus for the introduction of pâte-sur-pâte as well as the so-called Limoges enamel painting in the Netherlands.
