Paduan rooster, Meissen, 19th century, 1st choice, designed by Ernst August Leuteritz (1854) after a model by Johann Joachim Kaendler (1732). Model no. B144, white, high, naturalistic base. A crowing cockerel with an elongated neck, open eyes and a wide-open beak with visible tongue, standing between sculpturally carved bundles of ears.
