Gabriele Stock-Schmilinsky (1903-1984), Hamburg artist who studied under Friedrich Ahlers-Hestermann, among others, and became director of the art school there in 1939. She undertook study trips to Paris and Italy with Eduard Bargheer in the 1930s. Seascape, watercolor on paper, monogrammed lower right, slightly stained, somewhat unfresh, sheet dimensions 47 x 62 cm
