Alfred Beier-Red (1902-2001), German caricaturist, worked mainly for the communist press, such as ”Die Rote Post”, ”Die Rote Fahne” etc., to protect himself from reprisals he usually signed with the pseudonym ”Red”. He was a co-founder of the ”Association of Revolutionary Visual Artists” and from 1946 he worked mainly for ”Neues Deutschland”. His original drawings and graphics are represented in the German Historical Museum, among others, but are rarely found on the market. Aquatint etching against western modern art, in which a sculpture appears as a nightmare to its creator. Hand-signed and inscribed ”Aber großer Meister, erschrickst du vor deinem Werk?” in lower margin, sheet dimensions 50 x 37 cm
