Dining plate, Sevres, France, c. 1770-80, polychrome painted with scattered flowers, the rim with overlapping bows with flowers of the ”Point d’Espagne” type, rich ornamental gilding, painter’s mark and gilder’s mark for Prevost le Second, hairline crack to the back, Ø 25 cm, probably from a service ordered by the Foreign Minister in 1773, parts of which were presented to the Marquess of Barth in 1777, others to the Sultan of Mysore by Louis XVI in 1788.
