Representative maritime centerpiece/jardiniere. Silver rubbed Wilkens & Söhne Bremen, made to order in 1910, oval bowl with curved rim on a stepped oval foot, between 2 curved arms the globe with surrounding band with signs of the zodiac in relief, seated on it the fully sculpted personification of shipping in long robe and the attributes spar with sail on the shoulder and anchor, marked on the foot spindle press 800 crescent crown and the order number 195934, complete with matching insert, silver-plated metal, total weight: 1.5 cm.H. 74 cm, l. 54 cm, without insert 4820 g, with insert 6215 g. – A copy of the extract from the 1910 order book with the order number 195934 is available.
