Fritz Uphoff. 1890 Witten – 1966 Worpswede. Zwei Torfkähne auf der Hamme and Mondnacht (Two peat barges on the Hamme in the moonlight). 1949/50. 5 rare aquatint etchings in brown and green printed on the artist’s own press of which 1x heightened with white pencil, one etching of each motif signed Fritz Uphoff lower right, sheets 40 x 30 to 53 x 37.5 cm, plus a drawing on tracing paper 40.5 x 32.5 cm, minimally stained, and the copper printing plates 24.5 x 19 cm each – From the artist’s estate.
