Rugowski Berlin, copy no. c in the series of printed works. 15 unpag. pp. Landscape fol. with 15 colored and hand-signed etchings, inscribed and hand-signed in the printer’s imprint, sheets somewhat stained, softcover with gilt stamped Vignette with minimal traces of age, 36 x 43,5 cm – Very rare edition directly from the estate of the artist’s family. In 1911, Carl Emil Uphoff, together with his brother Fritz Uphoff and the writer Ludwig Tügel, founded the Werkgemeinschaft Worpswede, which set itself the goal of understanding book art as a total work of art consisting of text and illustration and reforming it in this sense. This rare book, the first publication of the Werkgemeinschaft, is an outstanding example of this endeavor.
