A large iron-red and cobalt-blue dragon bowl, China 16th century (Jiajing/Ming). In the mirror a medallion with an iron-red dragon above foaming waves. The outer wall with a total of 8 iron-red, writhing dragons above foaming waves, stylized cloud bands. Below the base a written, cobalt blue 6-character Jiajing mark in a double circle. Lip rim with chipping to the glaze, h. 17/D. 37 cm
