Cloisonné bowl, China probably c. 1600 (Wanli/Ming). The mirror with a white character on a green ground, the slightly curved wall with bats and lotus tendrils on the inside and outside. A solitary lotus blossom beneath the base. Fire-gilding heavily rubbed, cell enamel with signs of age and wear. H. 8/D. 17.5 cm
