Large rare bowl, Wedgewood Fairyland, c. 1920, octagonal shape, polychrome decoration, designed by Susannah Margaretta “Daisy” Makeig-Jones (1881-1945), on the outside town views, ‘Castle on the Road’ pattern, on the inside woodland with fantastic creatures such as elves, goblins, humans etc., so-called, ‘Fairy in a Cage’ pattern, lustre glaze and gold decoration, model no. 39125, chipped, glaze damage to base, Ø 29 cm
