Arthur Bock (1875-1957), trained at the academies in Berlin and Leipzig, Bock was a professor in Hamburg from 1903, where he created a series of large, public sculptures. A large-format version of ‘Diana with Dogs’ was erected in Hamburg’s Stadtpark in 1912. ”Diana with Hounds”, large bronze group, black patina, signed, foundry inscription ”Düsseld(or)f.(er) Broncebildgiesserei G.m.b.H”, fully sculpted group of figures of the goddess of the hunt with a horn in her right hand, accompanied by two greyhounds, 61 x 87 x 15 cm
