A pair of snowball vases, Meissen, c. 1840, 1st choice, designed by Johann Joachim Kaendler in 1739/40, old shape number BA, a pair of goblet-shaped snowball flower vases with birds, assembled from 2 parts, the stand with a bird’s nest containing 2 chicks and 1 egg, the body completely covered with snowball flowers, applied with green branches and leaves and a large oriole and parrot, h. 59 cm, w. 37 cm, d. 34 cm, with certificate from the Meissen manufactory, professionally restored.
