Eight plates, additional deliveries for Frederick the Great’s tea service for Charlottenburg Palace, KPM Berlin, 19th century, 4 plates with small pfennig mark 1849-1870, 4 plates of later delivery, 1. choice, painter’s mark after 1832, Neuglatt model, polychrome painting, rose bush with rose island in the mirror, on which lies an overturned basket with flowers, butterflies, funnel-shaped winds in the rim, gold-painted grotto relief and gold rim, 2 plates with palace owner’s mark for Friedrich Wilhelm IV (1840-1861), 4 plates with monogram RW, 2 plates with palace owner’s mark for Kaiser Wilhelm I, tws. bumped and rubbed, signs of wear, Ø 24.5 cm, The service was commissioned in 1770 for the court household in Charlottenburg Palace and was delivered in 1772.
