Six plates from the service for Glienicke Palace, KPM Berlin, 1830s, 1st choice, painter’s mark 1823-1832, model Antique Smooth with beaded rim, the rim with gold etched palmettes on a Pompei red ground, the riser rim gilded all around, 2 plates with palace owner’s mark for Friedrich Wilhelm IV (1840-1861), 4 plates with mark K.P.C. (Prince Carl’s kitchen), 1 plate with chip to the foot, Ø 24 cm, The service was commissioned by Prince Carl of Prussia (1801 – 1883) for the court household at Glienicke Palace.
