Foot bowl, KPM Berlin, c. 185-20, painter’s marks 1817-1823 and 1823-32, owner’s monogram for Luise, Princess of Prussia, antique smooth form, round foot with a border of finely painted floral garlands, the outer edge with a vine leaf border in relief, gilt, the wall with classicist gold lace on a light pink ground, the rim chipped, h. 15 cm, Ø 25 cm, Princess Luise of Prussia received a dinner and dessert service with 50 envelopes from her father on the occasion of her marriage to Prince Frederick of the Netherlands on May 21, 1825.
