Tea service for 7 persons, 26-piece, Aluminia faience, Royal Copenhagen, 20th century, ‘Tranquebar’ pattern, In 1912 Christian Joachim designed the faience pattern ”Tranquebar”, which was produced until 1995. The pattern was inspired by the old East Asian porcelain that Denmark imported from the Far East via the former colony of Tranquebar ( Tharangambadi ). The main motif is a tulip, framed by borders with a willow pattern, painted in underglaze blue, 7 teacups with saucer, h. 6 cm, 7 pastry plates, Ø 15 cm, milk and sugar, 1 candlestick, 2 leaf bowls, l. 16 and 20 cm
