Ernst Hassebrauk (1905-1974), two etchings of the painter and graphic artist from Dresden. He studied there and in Leipzig, where he became a master student of Willi Geiger. Under the Nazis he was banned from exhibiting. In 1947 he was appointed professor. Among his students was Werner Tübke. ”Die Zuhörer” and ”Begräbnis”, etching with drypoint on wove paper (papier vélin), the former signed by the artist at lower right, the latter signed by his widow at lower right, one with traces of mounting, sheet dimensions 39 x 53 cm.
