Child’s scarf, Persia, c. 1900. Iron, horn and silver plate. Straight, double-edged blade with triple fullers and star-shaped hammer mark, horn grip with silver wire wrapping (partly loose) and silver fittings. Scabbard wood leather covered with large, very finely and richly decorated fittings (partly loose, dented) with Nielo inlays. Arabic characters between vine decoration. Sword is difficult to slide into scabbard, bumped Exceptionally large and detailed finish. L. 83 cm
