Bleuler, Johann Ludwig (Louis). 1792 Feuerthalen – 1850 Laufen-Uhwiesen. River landscape. 1844(?). Gouache/paper, inscribed peint at lower right. Bleuler as well as partly illegible dated 1844(?), finely painted river landscape with a view of a small town on the river bank, in the background flat mountain foothills, on the bank farmers harvesting hay and a stretched fishing net, in the foreground a young woman with a basket talking to a hiker, framed under mount behind glass 48 x 64,5 cm, mount cut-out. 32,5 x 50 cm, unopened.- Johann Ludwig Bleuler was the son of the famous Swiss landscape painter Johann Heinrich Bleuler the Elder (1758 – 1823) and the younger brother of the painter Johann Heinrich Bleuler the Younger (1787-1857).
