2 Flens knives or bacon knives, 19th century, wood and iron. Special, long-handled knives (so-called ”flensing tools”), which were used in whaling to cut up the caught animals and in particular to separate the layers of blubber. Both blades with smith’s marks, 1 x ”ELWELL 5083-10”, 1 x illegible. Blades slightly pitted, but cleaned. Beautiful condition. L. up to 100 cm
