A narrow-necked jug, Hanau 1776, faience, pale blue glaze with bird decoration in dark blue hot-fire paint, the wall with twisted lines, braided attached handle with overlapping hinged pewter lid and pewter stand ring, dated 1176 below the handle, marked H Hanau on the underside, h 34.5 cm.
