Portal clock, 2nd half 19th century, walnut partly ebonized, with floral and thread maple inlays in the head and base, twisted columns with old healed worm damage and chipping, gilded, guilloché and engraved bases and capitals, white enamel dial with hairline cracks, black Roman numerals and blued Breguet hands, wide gilded bezel decorated with floral motifs, splendid rust pendulum, French round movement with 1/2 hour disc strike. circular movement with 1/2 hour disk striking mechanism on bell, pendulum spring defective, 48 x 24 x 13cm
