Large walnut burl portal clock, 2nd half 19th century, decorated with darker thread inlays, tapered columns with gilt guilloché and engraved bases and capitals, applied gilt bronze appliqués in floral motifs, silvered dial finely polished with black Roman numerals and blackened hands, wide gilt bezel, large heavy gilt pendulum, French round movement with 1/2 hour disc striking mechanism on bell, large gilt pendulum with 1/2 hour disc striking mechanism on bell. Round movement with 1/2 hour disk striking mechanism on bell, movement running, 51 x 27 x 16cm
