Five plates, France, 2 deep and 3 shallow plates, central rosette surrounded by laurel garland and cobalt blue ground, adjoining polychrome painting with floral scrolls of loosely bound flowers, including roses running below the cobalt blue rim, decorative gilding, 1 plate with chips, tws. restored, some gold rubbed, Ø 24 and 25 cm, probably from the service for Napoleon’s mother, Laetitia Bonaparte (Madame Mère), c. 1802.
