Large rare bowl, Wedgewood Fairyland, c. 1920, octagonal form, polychrome decoration, designed by Susannah Margaretta ”Daisy” Makeig-Jones (1881-1945), the exterior with city views, ‘Castle on the Road’ pattern, the interior with woodland scenes of fantastical creatures such as elves, goblins, humans etc…, so-called, ‘Fairy in a Cage’ pattern, lustre glaze and gold decoration, model no. 39125, chipped, glaze damage to the base, Ø 29 cm
